Hello, I write as Christie Montero.

My autism, ADHD, and other undiagnosed gifts have taken me on countless wild rides, with wide-ranging consequences, and I continue to learn as I go.

I share my experiences and evolving perspectives and opinions to inspire healing, to bridge gaps in understanding, and to send some extra love to others who are confusedly different, colloquially known as “weird.”

None of what I say is advice, though. Life is complex, and our choices are our own.

Thank you for visiting with a reasonably open heart and mind.

Love y’all.

A woman is sitting on the beach facing the ocean with her back to the camera; beams from the setting sun illuminate her, but everything else in in shadow; she wears a floppy straw sun hat, bikini bottoms, and a cropped long-sleeve cotton wrap top.

August 2024. This photo of me was taken without my knowledge, by a woman I didn’t know, right as I came to terms with a long-standing existential crisis about reflecting light in darkness.
